On the Brahmi Glosses of the Uygur Sitatapatra Text

As Gabain (1964) established, the Brahm? script was conveyed to the Uygurs by the Tokharians who lived in the North-Western part of Tur- kestan. This is supported by the fact that the Uygurs adopted the new signs which had been introduced by the Tokharians and to which they added a few more for their own purposes.
